ML Music originated from a small home based tuition program of piano and cello. Maggie Lu began teaching at an age of 18, and now has over 8 years of experience teaching piano, cello, singing and music theory. With an influx of students, mainly from word of mouth, ML Music has grown from 10 students, to over 130, requiring a change of venue and better teaching facilities.
Maggie's qualifications include Associate Music Australia (A.Mus.A), Licentiate Music Australia (L.Mus.A) on Cello, and various competition awards and the Youth Movement Award in Dandenong in 2000. After she completed her secondary education at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School, majoring in both Piano and Cello, she went on to completing her Bachelor of Music at the University of Melbourne. She is currently finishing her Masters of Music Studies at the University of Melbourne.
